How to upload multiple images to gallery?

I'm trying to figure out how to populate the xcGallery with multiple images without having to go through the arduous web interface to upload them one at a time... Can this be done, and if so, how? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Also, how does one edit the keywords and descriptions after an image has been uploaded, or delete the image? I feel quite stupid for not being able to figure these out...
