Have completed the installation of apache, php, MySQL and XOOPS (newbie, so pfew!)

I can login as a user and as an admin. I tried to activate the news and headlines modules.

However, when clicking on the relevant options, the website takes me to directory-contents for the selected module in stead of an actual page.

Also, probably related, I can get to the submit news page, type what I want and so on. When I choose preview, the site takes me to directory contents. When I post, the form clears and no news seems to have been posted.

I have not yet tried anyting fancy, so I wonder what I am doing wrong.

in your apache/conf/ folder, edit the httpd.conf file, and do a search for index.htm index.html in that file. It should be the config setting where the index is set. Make sure index.php is added to that list. Save, restart apache, and try again
