Hello All,

I'm redesigning my site and I was wondering how the Official XOOPS site's frontpage was designed that way? Is it a special module or some special blocks put together? If yes, which ones?

I'd really appreciate it, cause I'm tired of having the News Module as my homepage.

It's a Spotlight block with four hard-coded topics, from which a hard-coded number of 3 articles are fetched (the articles are not hard-coded, but it is hard-coded which topics to fetch from and that 3 articles should be fetched)

Is this some kind of a secret for the XOOPS site only? Because I really have no idea how to write code manually to fetch specific articles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

not a secret - but will be built into the news 1.3 module so no seperate hack was made available.

i personally feel superspotlight is much better option then what we have at this place. Only thing is that minispotlights should also be dynamic in superspotlight, It this happens then that would be the best module for news display.
