Is XOOPS protected against the Santa worm which is going around the world pretty fast? And what to do to protect if it is not?

is that the phpBB worm? if so, then yes, XOOPS is safe. However, some servers may not be safe (as in some shared hosting environments one vulnerable site is enough to open up the whole server to the worm.

Yes it is the phpBB worm. It is good to know that XOOPS is safe!

For the sake of safety, make sure your host upgrades to PHP 4.3.10 (and updates Zend Optimizer, if applicable) as soon as possible.
