I am trying to have a link on the left Main Menu that will open in the center main window for information about the site. I used to use php nuke and was no problem making simple modules with just html. You just had to add the php code for headers and footers in there and there was a nice tutorial on how to do this.
Is this possible with XOOPS or how do I create that link on the left and opens with my custom html in the center main window.
Would I need to create a module for this or block. I really dont think I can get the block to do this.

Any help or site that explains how to create your own modules would be great.
