I currently use 2.0.5 - and want to upgrade to the latest (well - pre 2.0.9) version...

Can someone advise the easiest method - to minimise site downtime - and prevent problems... i've not done a core update before!

Is there any noted modules that may be effect? I undertstand the old version of Multimenu may not work - but the new release should be easy enough to replace with.

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks

david

the simplest way is to setup a clone of your website and test the changes. If you're running 2.0.5, upgrade to 2.0.6 and then to 2.0.7.3. Just overwrite the files. ALl modules should work.

Can I just upload the changes - and update the system module?

always make a backup first, but after that, yes. Overwrite the files with those from the upgrade packagaes. After that, update the system module.
