Hello Everyone:

After spending several weeks building my website, I started having login problems that seem to be quite common with XOOPS. When I login & try to access my Admin menu ... I get the "Sorry, you don't have permission.." then logged out & redirected to login page. Registered users experience the same when trying to access modules.

I reviewed all the old posts here related to login problems, tried all the solutions mentioned, and none have helped. I find one temporary way around this however. When I make a NEW XOOPS installation on a new folder, I am then able to login & use my original XOOPS website with no problem. But the next day, I have the same login problem again. So the only way that I can continue to work on my website ... is to make a new XOOPS installation on a folder everyday so I can login.

Can anyone suggest a another solution? I am very frustrated and feel like quitting XOOPS, but I have worked so much already. I'll be grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks,
Leif

Thanks, but I already looked into http header referrals. I know its not my firewall or cookies ... because I can't login even from different computers. But thanks anyway.

Do you have a redirected url? This is a problem I had to!

This doesn't work because. When you login then you go to xoops/html/user.php and when you have it redirected you get http://redirected.com/xoops/html/user.php and that one doesn't exist!!

Thanks Viper for the suggestion ... but I don't have a redirected URL.

It's seems quite strange whatever it is. Because I have to make a NEW XOOPS installation in a new folder everyday ... login to my NEW XOOPS Admin menu ... then after I do this ... I can finally login into my original XOOPS website. Sometimes though, I have to make 2 or 3 new XOOPS installations before it eventually works. And I have to repeat this process whenever I log out and close my browser windows. I just can't figure it out.

Thanks anyway
