There's an application called aMember Pro that works with XOOPS. It isn't free, but it works with multiple payment systems, moves paying members into "pay" group, keeps track of who joined when, etc. The aMember Pro license and the XOOPS plugin would cost about US$180. You can find it here

I haven't tried it (yet) but there is a decent demo on their site.

Hi Arowana,

You can view the details of the xDonations module on the dev.xoops.org site here. However, if you want a fully featured module that is ready to go now, then it might be worth looking at the module beerMe suggested above. xDonations is looking VERY promising, but it isn't there yet.

if you want to see if xdonations meets your needs, try the CVS Nightly version. the 1.4 release is fairly old, and pales in comparison to the latest work.

the admin section still needs some restructuring, but the module works well and supports adding users to a group/rank that you define. it only supports payments via paypal.

I went there and I downloaded one file is that how it is to be? Can you zip it up and send it over to me? You should still have my email address from when we worked together on xcredits

Thanks

the file you downloaded is the module, just upload it to your modules directory, rename the folder to 'xdonations', and install like normal.

Hey bd_csmc,

Have you thought of creating another "stable" package release for download? By "stable all I mean is the last set set of files where the module was consisdered suitable for production environments. Just thinking that if the only option other than 1.4 is straight out of CVS, then it might be very hard to find a common ground if trouble shooting is required. It also might discourage the use of the newer version if people see that the version of the files included in the module are using being updated a couple of times a week. Just a thought....

yeah brash, i've actually been debating that. there was a few more changes i was wanting to implement, to get the module to v2.0 and then release, but i reckon i'll release another 1.x sometime soon.

bd_csmc has just released xDonations 1.9 BETA 1 on the dev site that I'm sure he'll be looking for some testers to try out .
