I have read some postings concerning line breaks within <table> .. </table> -tags, which is being inserted above the tables, where the solution is to write the declaration in one singel line. Sure this makes the article look good, but also makes it very hard to update cell contents later on. From what I understand is this not considered a bug. I would say it is wrong to treat text as WYSIWYG when HTML-tags is allowed to be inserted.

Now I am able to write tables, but without being able to set borders and width (and presumable lots of other design options).

If you plan to use images, you're supposed to use the far simpler "[IMG]"-tag which leaves you with two options only - align it to left or right. The html counterpart <img> - only produce a link to the image file. Why is this? I would like a border one pixel thick around my images, how do I accomplish this?

Is there a list of tags in brackets (like [IMG] and [pagebreak]) for use in articles available? I have not been able to find any yet.

I assume you are talking about the News module?

If so, then you are right that the linebreaks being converted is not always desirable. I am convinced that it is something Hervé will fix in future News versions.

However, you can use [pagebreak] in the extended text as well as any xoopscode tag ([ img], [ code], [ quote], [ b] etc.) in either of the content fields. All usable xoopscode tags are available with the icon bars above the text area.
