The section module serves its purpose to show separate multi page articles. However, what I would love to see is a module capable of presenting books complete with a Toc, chapters, bibliography, index and the like.

Actually, a DocBook module would be great. That way one could write content in a widely accepted way and easily transform it into other formats like PDF, browsable HTML and so on. Which could then be offered for download and offline reading.

Will the new Section module be capable of doing this? Is someone developing such a module already? Or should I just start writing it myself?

Thanks for your reply limecity

I already did a try on this one.

But I?m wondering something more "book oriented".
Take a look at

http://www.livrariacultura.com.br/scripts/cultura/resenha/resenha.asp?nitem=753035&sid=00158821965267047872667&k5=66C4D54&uid=

Still missing the "Click to enlarge".

If we have such kind of mod in xoops.........
Please don?t consider the buying thing, only the show.

Sorry, it?s in brazilian portuguese languge but i?m shure you?ll understand the feeling

Regards,
Wilson

hey auctmore,

am i missing something here? "worldware" has just released a module called "Xooperstore." this a great little module for a book store or anything amazon sells. I have not edited the template yet but you can see it on my site:http://dcdezines.ca/modules/xooperstore/

check this thread for download link:

Many people in these forums seem to refer to this famous Soapbox module. It is not in the official XOOPS repository. Where can it be found ?

Sorry folks for not explaining in enough detail what I am looking for, but it certainly isn't a bookstore module. What I am after is a module that can incorporate a file of the DocBook type into the design of a XOOPS site.

DocBook being the DTD specification for writing a book. Once the book is written there are tools to convert it into other formats like multi page HTML and PDF. It is the HTML version that I would like to incorporate in my websites. Whereas I'd like to offer the PDF version for download.

Does anyone know if such a module exists ? Can one of the Content Wrapper modules from the repository handle DocBook files ?
