How do you go about adding a simple html page as a menu link.

example...

Where you may have:
HOME
DOWNLOADS
CONTACT US

I'd like to add a link for "about us", where the page appears in the center. Is this a custom or added module interms of XOOPS ?

For this kind of custom menu items I used the Multi Menu module. Gives you much of freedom: 4 menu's, scroll menu's etc.

If you only/explicitly want the 'about us' item to the main menu, then I can't help you.
I'm a nemwbie myself.

Open /modules/system/templates/blocks/system_block_mainmenu.html in your editor, and just place the link to the page you want added to the main menu.

I found this in another topic in this forum.

Does that get you started?

Another approach:

WF-Channel, or TinyD, are good modules to use for this kind of thing. They will add entries in your main menu that display pages of text and images that you can either code in the module, or upload from your PC.

TinyD allows you to have multiple copies of it installed at the same time. I wrote a perl script that lets you clone WF-Channel with a different name so you can have infinite copies of it installed too. Details on the script are here:
