In my System Admin>Modules, if i try to install a new module, or even an already module that was presented with Xoops. i click the install button, and i get a blank page, no confirmation or anything, I just recently updated to XOOPS 2.0.7.3 this problem seemed to have occured right after i tried install the PBB 1.13 Mod, a forum mod.

And i cant seem to figure out whats causing it. I can uninstall modules just find, just can install them. anyone ever encountered this problem? or know a solution?

If this is my stupidity, for install the PBB mod, over a XOOPS version that doesnt match, then i apologize. lol

Do i have to result in installing a fresh instance of XOOPS 2.0.7.3? if this is my only option, is there a way to import any and all content from my site, to the new installation? all i really need is the module installation to be fixed..

do you see any errors on the blank pages if you follow the troubleshooting steps outlined in the XOOPS Wiki:

http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=TroubleshootingBlankPage

Couldnt you just re-write all the 7.0.3 files over the exsisting ones and hit update in the modules admin page

That will take the core back to its origianl

if you have replace files from the core with the package for phpbb then there will be odd files that are diffrent so properly causing the problem

to try and answer both of you..

I did overwrite 2.0.7.3 files, but the update function in the modules is useless since its only for already installed modules. the modules already installed are fine, its trying to install new ones thats the problem,

and to answer the blank page issue. no, there were no errors, just a plain white page, but it dawned on me, that i did turn on Debug mode, so i went ahead and did that, and this is my error after clicking "install" for a module

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: splitmysqlfile() in /home/statika/public_html/start/modules/system/admin/modulesadmin/modulesadmin.php on line 168

which i have NO idea what any of that means. lol i went to modulesadmin.php and to line 168, but i dont really know what any of that means. so i didnt try and edit anything.

anyone know? something on that line, is apparently screwing something up..

ok, i went to line 168 again, where the error is, and i decided to comment that line out.

//SqlUtility::splitMySqlFile($pieces, $sql_query);

just to see what happens, well..i can install modules now, but i get three errors at the bottom of the modules page, with debug mode on.

Notice [PHP]: Undefined variable: pieces in file modules/system/admin/modulesadmin/modulesadmin.php line 170

Warning [PHP]: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in file modules/system/admin/modulesadmin/modulesadmin.php line 170

Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read template resource: "db:newbb_searchresults.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1042

so i uncommented the line, lol

do i need to edit a table in MySQL for sqlUtitlity to work properly?

I was having exactly this problem, and was hoping this thread would solve it. I got to the last post, and alas! no solution.

I looked though the PHP debug error message again, and got the bright idea to put a copy of sqlutility.php into xampp/htdocs/xoops/html/class/database/. I took the most recent version of the file into that folder.

Voila! Works like a charm.
