Im debateing if I wanna use XOOPS for a new project of mine or not and I had a question about the forum software. The site Im planning on doing is going to have some heavey traffic, I was wondering if the newbb2 can handle heavey use. Has anyone used the forum software with over 500-1000 members?

Are you talking simultaneous members? If so then I would doubt that NewBB 2 has been tested to that degree yet, as even the XOOPS site here doesn't get that kind of traffic.

naa, not at the same time, just have that many users and thousands of posts

As far as I learn, the XOOPS site running NewBB2 with most heavy traffic is around 100-200 at normal time (not rush hours).

The version they use is RC2. and the performance will be much improved in RC3 or final, I believe.
