can't upload/download themes

Hi, how do I download/upload themes that are tar.gz format. Everytime I down load they are all in win zip. Any help would be appreciate it. Thanks

All themes do not have to be uploaded in tar.gz format, just the templates. Some themes however don't even come with a template. When you download a theme, unzip it and uploadit using ftp to your themes folder, it then should be a selectable theme under preferences. If the theme comes with a template it will usually be a tar.gz within the zip.
