I'm having the opposite problem from the one described here: https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=25679&forum=28, on a test site my popoup menus are open and won't close... sometimes.

When I open the forum and click a category, the popup menu sometimes, not always is open fully and the menu items aren't functional. Refresh doesn't fix it. If I navigate back home and click a topic in the recent topics block, it usually appears with the popup menus closed and functioning properly. I can't determine a pattern, seems random. If I'm in the forum anonymously then login, it triggers the reaction too, I think.

Have only discovered this in IE6. Will try Firefox later to see if its a browser issue.

If you want to have a look... go here.

Not asking you to solve the problem or find a pattern but I'm clueless where to begin to investigate. Anyone else have this problem? Even if you haven't, do you have thoughts on what to look for? Thanks very much!

Ackbarr advises this:

also, if you make this change and it doesn't seem to take, remove all files from your templates_c folder.
in a post here:

I'll try that and report after.

Clearing the templates_c folder did the trick. Thanks Ackbarr.

Anyone know why I couldn't edit my previous post in this thread instead of having to use reply?
