no emails recv'd at registration.

running XOOPS 2.0.7 on linux and using sendmail.
I can use the Admin features to send mail to 'all registered users', but for some reason neither the admin or the user recieves an email upon new registration when I select Activation by Users or Activation by Administrators...?
kinda lost on this one... any help will be greatly appreciated!

(BTW - I love Xoops, it's much easier than any other OS CMS portal I've used)

Re: no emails recv'd at registration.

What settings are you using in System -> Preferences -> Mail Setup?

Can you turn on PHP debugging and try registering an account to see if there are any errors returned by PHP?

If no errors here, try sending a test message to the Webmasters group in System -> Mail Users

If that works with no errors, the next spot to check would be the sendmail logs. Check if the user registration messages actually made it to the mail server.

Re: no emails recv'd at registration.

after searching my linux box for a good hour (duh... slocate is my friend) or so, i finally found that there are logs for each email I tried sending thru my XOOPS site...
so I know they are getting to the server... i just don't understand why they aren't getting to me...

here's an email that was supposed to go to a user containing the activation key:

Here's the one that was supposed to send to me (site admin) when a new user registered:

all of the destination email addresses are ones that are supplied by my own ISP. i manage them all.

Re: no emails recv'd at registration.

well - is sendmail set to allow or disallow relaying of messages for the insight.rr.com domain?

* corrected typo in domain name

Re: no emails recv'd at registration.

well - i can say that when i am logged in as Admin to the XOOPS site - i can send a mass mail to all registered users through the same ISP. and to the same email accounts that are listed above.
