it should be in your theme folder now .

go to admin "Preference" and choose the theme in the choices given .

if you want have template for the theme, you can download it via the "template" option in admn so it will be available in the "template" option in your Preference.

no... you upload via FTP .. themes ...

you upload via "template" ... templates for the themes if any.

edit .. oh yes. No chmod on themes or templates ....

Just curious... Why are all the themes in the library "zipped" but XOOPS states: "Must be a tar.gz/.tar file with a valid XOOPS template set structure"?

I admit to being very new to XOOPS (2nd day now), and coming from an MS FrontPage background I see I have a lot to learn. Tonight I'd like to learn how to quickly and easily upload and install themes.

Is there an easy/quick way to convert a zip to a tar.gz? Or do I manually upload and install...?

I think part of my problem is not understanding the difference between themes and templates... I've successfully uploaded several themes and have played with them. I still only show 2 templates: default & x2t. Shouldn't I have templates for the themes I uploaded?
