If you look now the change of the newbb2 is completed to .png and as you mentioned before using aplha-transparent .png is not that problem, the newbb2 just use a small function to make them work for IE.

Anybody planning on making any graphic rich themes in the near future? Perhaps a modern look or something like that... I usually like darker themes.
