I'm trying to understand the search capabilities of XOOPS - can it locate formatted documents like Word or PowerPoint files based on keyword searches? Can searches be conducted across content, i.e., documents and discussions simultaneously?

Search is implemented in the individual modules.

Hello,

If you are using a Windows server for your web server, you can use Index Server to automatically index, search and render documents. You can also find some other programs like this one (for windows and/or linux).
