my host allow only one database.
i would like to install another, is it possible to install into the same database but in a different table or somethin..

yes or no

if yes, how?

I had the same problem once. I wanted a seperate database for for my XOOPS system, but my host would not allow it. All the tables are prefixed with 'xoops' though so they are easily identified.

Uhhh think the answer fell a little bit short tedsmith

Netwize when you install your second XOOPS and are at the following screen:

https://xoops.org/images/install/install004.gif

Change the Line Table prefix to xoops_2nd or whatever you like to call the tables for the other installation. Then XOOPS will use those table names and don´t interfere with the first installation.
