News and the home page

I just installed XOOPS on my system and have to say that this is awesome. I will be uninstalling phpNuke very soon. However, I have a question.

How do I get news to appear on the main page of my site? I created news and told the blocks to display it in the middle. However, all it does is display the title of the article instead of the article itself.

My goal is to have a welcome message appear when the user comes to the site. I do not want them to have to click on a link to see what I have to say.

Re: News and the home page

Administration Menu -> System Admin -> Preferences -> General Settings -> set the "Module for home page" to News

Actually, I tried. Usually I am better than this. Sorry for the dumb question.

If you don't want to use news as your nomepage, you could use spotlight module to display news too.
