Ok i am tring to add a block to the log in page somthing that will give person some clue of what the site is all about. I can get blocks set up that you can see on the home page for the normal users but not on the index where a non user is going to be looking. how do a get content of any kind on this page so non registered will know what is on the inside before thay join.

You have to go to:

Admin area > System Menu > Group > Anon > check the custom box you have made.

One more thing the blocks have a field called weight. is this how you detemrmin the vertical placement of a block?

One more thing, is there an easy way to change the color scheem or od i need to get a templet?

To change the color you have to go to your theme folder and look for your currently using theme and edit the style.css for color change.

When editing CSS files you don't have to turn on the Auto-Theme-Update in the admin preference (General). You only turn it on when you want to edit any HTML files inside the theme folder only.

I have a feling i am going to get boped on the head in a bit. I am trying to ste up a link in the text in one of me blocks but is dose not seem to be working right. The content type is set to HTML could some one show me an example of the Tag I need to be using so the link will open in a new window.
