hi,
i just downloaded 2 themes from http://www.xoops-themes.org: FC Clan Blue, and fydarkblack. i havent a clue how to install them! someone please tell me what to do...or flame me for not knowing.

well, before, i had accedentally installed the themes as templates, and FC is the selected template, and i want to make fydarkblack my template, but i cont figure out how, i read the manual, but that didn't help! how do i do this, and also, can someone explain how i delete a template? thanks!

To change the template back to default, just go to system admin -- preferances -- general settings. There you can change the template back to default. You can also activate any themes that you have uploaded to your theme folder.

I've seen this question alot these days, couldn't we make a small readme file which is included in all the themes. A 'template' help file which a designer could add to his theme?

That is a good idea incama. I think that a readme-file should be a must of any (new) theme. A clean structure of the theme.html and css-file(s) also helps a newcomer to put changes in his (her) public site.
