In phpbb there’s an option so that the db can be downloaded. Does there exist an option to download the db from xoops?

To back up your database for XOOPS you will have to go to the control panel of your actual web domain not XOOPS but your mani control panel unless your a sub domain then you would have to get whomever is hosting your site to back up your database for you.

There is a module called.... Backup

This allows you to backup the DB. It works great.

Manually.

Create the DB just like you did when installing xoops, then pipe the .sql file into mysql.
