There is no one single problem or workaround for certain known issues. If you have php5 installed on your server or test site, please follow up with bug reports to the core team so that they can continue rebuilding code for future XOOPS releases. The same goes for workarounds or fixes that you may run into yourself, as this is a major upgrade to the the way in which the code is handled and is very important to the development teams.
The most current workaround, is for people to install the code base on a PHP 5 server and report what they see. php5 compatability for XOOPS is still some time down the road.
In essence, there is still much work to be done for both 4.x and the new php5 functionality to work with XOOPS. There is no current time table set on when these major changes will be inplace. There is still much testing and bug searching to do.
