Does anyone here know xoopss well enough to do this?

Basically I'd like to view the last 5 news articles, not just the titles, but titles + content, etc, and I want this in a block that I can place anywhere. Thanks!

Not 100% sure, but you might be able to get the Spotlight module to do thi.

why don't you use news block? you can change the theme for whatever you want to show, and you can place it anywhere in the board just indicate where to place in System->Blocks

I'd like to try News-Block, but I downloaded it and it fails to install correctly:

In the administration section I get "Module file not found"!

Anyone else experiencing this, or know a fix? I downloaded it at:
here

I downloaded that same one,
copied it to the modules dir, and chown'd the files to apache, It installed ok for me, but...

When I try to use it, my front page comes back blank?!?!?

the only other thing i did was addjust the block configuration( block edit) and set the number of articals to 2.

( i'm running XOOPS 2.0.7 )

Actually, same here, I chmod'd everything to 755 and still frontpage shows blank. Would appreciate any feedback you experts have.
