I first only knew about PHPNuke and PostNuke CMS. But lately I started to use XOOPS and like the feel and navigation of Xoops.

Is XOOPS suitable for coupon/deal portal sites?
Something like http://www.gotapex.com/ and http://www.techbargains.com

If not, which CMS are more suitable?

Xoops could be used to make those sites.

I began with PHP Nuke, and when I found out about XOOPS last year, I changed over quick.

Xoops is useful for practically anything, if you have the time to put into it and the modules to use.
