using a sql dump..

but each time i import it..
the page went plain white..

on debug.. it gave me this

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/catscity/public_html/modules/system/blocks/system_blocks.php on line 339

i am attempting to restore my site data by data..
when it comes to XOOPS comments..
there will be a problem...

so how do i settle this?

below may help,

after doing a fresh install of XOOPS and then modules
when trying to import a complete sites data
there are a few issues

one was can remember having to go thru tables and manually edit them so that the comments matched the relevant modules
as the modules id changed in the re-install

working off memory here

think com_modid is the one concerned with

what you need to do is find out and then match
current and old id modules

look in xoops_modules table
match mid with module name

goto XOOPS comments look up that comment id and see what com_modid is pointing to , if different you should have to change all them to the new one

suggest you do one and then goto that "module item" and see if works

apoligies, its all off the top of my head and suggest "care" as may not be 100% :::)))

Wait. If all you are doing is just connecting the data to the site again (ie. dumping in ALL original data), then you module id's will be the same as they were before. In other words:

If you are dumping in the data that has the module id's from that same sql file that had these same comments, then the id's should be the same. You shouldn't have to modify them unless you activated the modules through the admin system panel, and then started dumping in the comments data.
