Custom Front Page Module

I have been thinking about making a module that basicly all it does is load the module that the user has selected to be on the frontpage. (so you make it start on the frontpage and it loads the one the user wants on the frontpage)

However before I do that I want to make sure no one else has done it. Has anyone else done it?

Also I am assuming it is possible but since I do not know all the inter workings of XOOPS I could be wrong.

You don't need to do this.
Go to System Admin > Preferences > General Settings and select a start page module from the drop down list.

You aren't understanding.

Here is what happens I set this module to be the one that starts.

When a user goes to the site the module then loads the module they individualy want to be on the frontpage.

Get it? I mean obviously I can change it as the admin but I was thinking of users having custom front pages.

oh, i see.
You would need to have the "remember me" hack activated for that to work.
There's already a module that does that for themes (look for XT-Temas), i guess the same theory could be applied for modules?

Perhaps, but if someone is logged in it would just look them up.
