Re: Translation Teams on Transifex

I ask your attention, in order to advance the translation module for Xoops 2.5.5.

Please, let me know who want to be Coordinator, Translator or Reviewer and on what country you want to do it.

I want people motivated and do not wait a month to help with translations. Thank you in advance for your help.

Reply on this thread so that I can keep the position of coordinator.

People who have not answered will be deleted from the language group on Transifex.

I wait that each answers this thread personally.

I wish a true commitment, it is as a signature.

I think that the Xoops community cannot content itself any more with leaving rights to people who make nothing or almost nothing.

You have 15 days before I change your rights.

I don't want to spoil any pleasure... but is Transifex still the way to go? I don't use it as many important scripts to translate are missing (like mail templates). I also like to translate on my local machine, to be able to upload changed files to my testsite to see how they behave on a live site.

Why not just make some sourceforge maps for handling local translations?

Adin is a woman from another community, I'm using for proofreading my translations.

TX is the only way to maintain languages for anything up to date if is used in the proper way, ownCloud for example made a script for automatic sync of translated files daily (but GNU Gettext is there, no plain text files with place holders).

I can add html and other files to Transifex.

Personally, I find Transifex very practical, and it has saved me time in my translations. We all really need to make the effort to focus our aid at the same place, otherwise we are wasting time in the progress of Xoops.

Yes, but I prefer update here active members only.

Reply on this thread so that I can keep the position of coordinator. People who have not answered here become "Reviewers" of Transifex.

You have 15 days before I change your rights.

I think you should do it in the first post, or you can create a page where only you can enter the data, in order to keep a single list in one place.
