Speed could you track this problem further in apache logs?
in XAMPP/apache/logs/error.log

search for any newbb/ error.

Make sure you have XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/ uploaded

Never believe anyone can do this wrong after reading instructions carefully.

3 pages of investigation and more and more test for nothing.
also i revise instructions in the cbb 3.0.6 news.

Since no further feedbacks, May I assume all you guys have solved your problems by using the correct Frameworks and xoopseditor?

phppp -
Yes, I'm good now. It was my fault not using the correct editor. Thanks.

Please could someone explain this to me?

I have downloaded CBB3.06 and the latest Frameworks and understand where these should sit in my directory structure.

However, There was no /class/xoopseditor/ directory in the XOOPS install nor in either of the two downloads above.

I'm building a new website using XOOPS and have a working/configured install of newbb2.0.2 but I'd like to upgrade to cbb3.06 before the site goes live.

Please could someone post a link to a download to whatever I need for the xoopseditors files?

Very many thanks

The Xoopseditor file is apparently now required for CBB installation, even if you don't wish to use fckeditor, koivi or whatever. It includes the basic editor that XOOPS has used for years.

For some of us, this new requirement wasn't evident as alternate editors have always been optional, requiring extra fiddling with files and often incompatibilities with some browsers. This file appears to be attempting to consolidate all editors into one place so that all modules can access editors easily. You have choices now right out of the box. Very smart.

You can get the file here, it is listed as a framework near the bottom. The most recent appears to be xoops-editor-moon:
http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1155

It goes in this directory (create it if none is there):
XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/

It DOES NOT go in XOOPS/frameworks/xoops22/class/xoopseditor as I've seen recommended in another thread.

Thx for clarifying this Speed. Is it therefore correct to say (for users of XOOPS 2.0* and 2.2*) that in addition to the frameworks we need to:

1) Download xoops-editors-moon.zip

2) Add contents to XOOPS/class/xoopseditor

3) Install CBB

?
