BTW - to improve security, it would be nice to have actually a "random captcha", i.e. XOOPS would randomly invoke a standard Captcha, reCaptcha, or sexyCaptcha, or another one.

This way the bots would have more problems in registering on XOOPS sites.

You can't download yet Mamba, I have just sent to Frankblack for him to check, so he'll put here if he like the changes

I don't think bots give a damn about the captcha. If you look at your server logs you'll see they bypass it and attack the registration files directly. There's yet another report in this post.

IMHO, Xoops core files need amending to ensure they actually respect a captcha, or use another method to ensure human interaction is involved in the registration process.
