Hi Dottie:

I am looking for a auction script similar to http://phpauction.org/. I visited your test auction website and my only question is whether your auction script based on PHPAuction Script GPL ? Have you modified the Auction Module to run into XOOPS 2.0 ?

Waiting for your reply.

Regards,
Shivaji.

I would love to see more progress with this script, espec a e-commerce option and for XOOPS 2.0.*, to to charge a handling fee like E-bay does for successfull auctions and additional features.

Excellent work keep it up.

Hi Tom:

My 1st XOOPS site is ready. Need db migration from IPB original to IPB for xoop module, before public announcement.

Now this new one, probably my last development using XOOPS . A community site. I am not sure what I am looking for get with the module dottie developed.

The objective of this website is to provide a community service where individuals can exchange their favorites without spending money. It follows the path of major portals like EBay and Half.com but with a difference that instead of paying for an auction an individual can exchange his/her items for an item of same or different category. The objective is simple instead of throwing or dumping the stuff we don’t need we exchange them for other items.

To start with there’s no charge associated with any registrations or transactions. The idea is to build a community based on the places we live and create a virtual exchange community platform.

You could use this kinda mod or even the MYADs mod, which is a classified listings mod, however I don't think there are any mods which would do what you wish spec. with exchange of goods. Although you could make a bit of tweaking to make it do as you wish.

Hope this helps.

I have installed this auction module in localhost and it is very good. It work with 2.0.5. but it have some bug (my browser crack in a case). It is good an auction module for xoops. Why people are not interested to this module ? Exist another auction module for XOOPS ?

I think the auction module is a great idea, and I'm looking forward to seeing it develop into a stable release.

The additional of an option to charge a handling fee for succesful options would be a huge benefit - a module like this is great for adding stickyness to your site, but with stickyness comes increased bandwith, which has to be paid for.

It appears, like many of the things around here, that this has fallen to the way side.

I'm picking this one up and am going to develop it fot the community.

Rock on Kerjin! Though I want an Auction module, I'd really prefer a NICE classified module. :)
