Xoops 2.5.5
Apache 2.2.23
MySQL 5.0.96-community
PHP 5.3.17

Wf-Links 1.09

Hi, I have done a fresh install of Wf-Links and have no errors show up in debug.

But there is an error message above the header in Wf-Links admin page and the only option avalable on the admin page is a "HELP" button lol and preferences.

define( "_AM_WFL_MODULEADMIN_MISSING", 'Error: The ModuleAdmin class is missing. Please install the ModuleAdmin Class into /Frameworks (see /docs/readme.txt)');

I have read the readme.txt and I have done everything as explained as far as I'm aware.

I Have checked my local files vs server files and all is good. I'm not sure what ModuleAdmin class is so some help would be fantastic.

Any thoughts?

It seems like there is a problem with ModuleAdmin class.

It should be located at:

/Frameworks/moduleclasses/moduleadmin

If it's there, then it might be a problem with your xoops_version.php file of your module.

I would suggest to run the filecheck to make sure that you have all the XOOPS files.

Can you also check the changelog in /docs to see what version do you have?

it should be: 1.09 Final

Note: yes, we're very busy, so sometimes we miss messages here, so it's OK to "bump it"

Mamba,

Where can I find wflink 1.09 FINAL? The SVN trunk is 1.09 RC and there's no 1.09 in the release directory.

All the recent Final versions should be here:

Great, thanks. Is there a reason these aren't all on SVN and put under their respective trunks and a copy of the package under the release subdirectories? (other than the time to do so of course - )

Time is the main problem, but I thought that all of them should be on SVN.
If not, I'll fix it.

Thanks Michael. I'm not complaining, I just wanted to make sure that I didn't do something I'm not suppose to when I make corrections/additions to modules...

Hi guys, I installed a fresh xoops website to a sub domain purely for testing purposes. Installed wf-links 1.09 Final as required by the docs/readme.txt

I have the same error as in my OP

checksum.php results:
/
Frameworks/moduleclasses/icons/32/brokenlink.png content invalid

changelog.txt:
2012-12-16 1.09 Final - finalizing version (mamba)

IMO, MyLinks is the one to concentrate on as it is working with much less problems for me.

Cheers,
Marty.

But this errors shows that you have a problem with an icon file, but not with Wf-links.

WF-links should work without problems with it.

Ok, your right the module is working fine apart from the error message above the header on the admin page.

1. That error message above the header is annoying Why am I getting it?
2. Is "PageRankâ„¢" a typo? Google has a 0 page rank. I'm not sure this function is even working
3. Where it gives info on the link, (Publisher, Submitter, Updated on, Linked), should it not say "Hits: 76" instead of "Linked: 76 times"
4. Quick view is not working for google (no errors) but works fine for other websites
5. If I have 2 paragraphs in a description and click print, it merges the 2 paragraphs into 1
6. The option to "not" show the Country would be great. If you don't select a country it shows an ugly "?"
7. The description text box is too wide
8. I have set permissions correctly yet I still can't vote on a link (no error - the page just reloads)
9. If a link is added multiple times the hits are not combined. It would be better to have the option to add the 1 link to multiple catagories so the hits are combined

Now that I have this module working it actually looks quite nice visually. However, there are a lot of functions that are just bloating this module. Personally, I still prefer MyLinks, now that the slash'/s problem is fixed, it is the perfect link module. All it needs now is to add a single link to multiple catagories.

Time for bed, good night
