I would like to thank david for this, so all thanks to him for the heads up on this tool:)

I would like to suggest that the dev.xoops.org could use a solution like GForge in the near future.

Any thoughts Council and Foundation?

Thank you for the suggestions.
Some solutions have been considered and evaluated, including gforge.

Yes, communication is definitely important.
As for evaluation on software solution, we ever started last year, then stopped along with the death of project sites redesign.
Recently we had some informal discussions on d.x.o, but have not reached any conclusive results that could be used for public discuss yet.

Don't fault others for the work not done. If you dislike the communities work then try forming something else yourself. The death was of two core developers that resigned, the most skilled ones in my opinion, in XOOPS times. Not the death of the work the community has been doing.

It is supposed to be the leader who is left in charge of the XOOPS project to make the overall XOOPS project continue. Past is gone. So what's new?

IMHO,
1st restore backup of old info
2nd find dev.xoops.org continuation solution

1st : the messy server access situation has to be solved : actually, the private club at foundation level is blocking the situation for 2 weeks. i really don't think they (the foundation men) act for the benefit of the community. it's time to dissolve that ridiculous toy. it's a unprofessional attitude.

2nd : i think that after point 1, many (including pred and catz) will be glad to work again on the d.x.o. And yes, the Gforge could be a solution. Any solution is good if it brings fun to the project, again !
Do synergy or die.

Thank you at least for part of your previous reply Marco (I'll disregard the irrelevant bit)

As Catz mentioned - I've been investigating a GForge solution - and am waiting for some more details from various sources as to what is possible for this.

I'll update when I hear more.
