I am also looking into adding a top horizontal menu to my site with drop downs. Similar to what is found at http://www.mediabistro.com

My site is based upon the default XOOPS theme.

So to do this it looks as though I could utilize the CooljsMenu with equal submenus then place this in my theme table, eh?

Am I on the right track?

I was looking to add the Dynamic Drive DHTML HV menu http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/hvmenu/index.htm to my site but I was wondering if anyone else has done this before?

Do you add the code to the theme.html file or the CSS file. I'm assuming the theme.html file but I want to be sure. And if so, where exactly do you place the code? I am using a duplicate of the default XOOPS theme btw.

And do you add the .js file to the theme folder?

Any clarification anyone could add would be great. Thanks.

I added the code to the theme file just below the tag and I uploaded the .js files to my theme folder but I don't see any changes.

Actually, ignore the other links, they're usualy can only load on IE, have massive amounts of code, which take ages to load your website.
Try, Smartmenus, it's easy to install, it's browser wide compatible, and easy to set up, and can do virtually anything you want.
I think the link is, http://www.smartmenus.org ? But try google.
It's free for non commerical websites only, otherwise, you pay $35 for a licence. They guy diserves the money.

I was abe to create the menu in a block, it works wonderfully well. I have one problem, since the menu is using frame, the next menu item or any other block comes under that menu, in the background, anyone has any idea how to fix this.

can you tell me how you did this?

THX!
