when i press "versterkers" i want the site

http://www.polytron.de/web/englisch/produkt_1_3_1.htm

show up in the XOOPS main frame
and when i click on an url of the

simular like the "nieuws" or "contact" listbox but with the info of the extended page of the manufacturor

Hi all,

i'm starting with updating my satellite hobbysite!

The multilanguage site (Dutch & English) is dedicated to the famous Dreambox satellite-receiver and satellite in general.

The site is online now for almost 2,5 years, it started in html and now for 1,5 year in xoops...

It has around 10.000 visits each week.
It can use an updated and new theme dont you think?

Who wants to help me with it or knows a nice theme related to satellite or an satellite receiver?

Regards, Hemertje

the script for changing the prefix afterwards, that caused the problem with the imagemanager for me when i changed it by hand in the sql database....

maybe it can cause also more problems with other XOOPS functions?

due to the prefix change i had a problem with the imagemanager...

see the following posting:

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=29651&forum=21

don't know if this is a problem when the prefix is changed by the above script!

greetings...

OK, problem is fixed by my friend Skunny....

the following was the problem:

last week we did backup the new test site and database and we did change the xoops_prefix in the sql file by hand...

we installed 2.0.9.2 and the modules from scratch and we put back our database backup...

now with the new setup we wanted to use the imagemanager but due to the javascript which requests the script where and how to put the [img] tag into the postings the old xoops_prefix was requested instead of the new xoops_prefix:

now Skunny did change in the file imagemanager.html:
OLD-xoops_prefixGetElementById --> NEW-xoops_prefixGetElementById

and it's working again!

hope this helps others....

well maby i have it wrong but when i look in some theme.html files, the <{$xoops_imageurl}> points to that directory where it is accessed from in the theme.html...

so it points, if i have it right, to the subdirecory where the file is located from where you acces this command...

thru or not?

dynamic image url's in xoops

hi all,

I see in the most XOOPS (core)modules that I use static image url's. In the Partners module it is not even possible to use the <{$xoops_url}> or the <{$xoops_imageurl}> shortcuts because the http:// is standard in the beginning of each line for the image url.

The rest of the xoopsprogramming is using the <{$xoops_url}> or the <{$xoops_imageurl}> shortcuts!

So maybe it's an idea to use these shortcuts for the images in one of the next coming releases of XOOPS or their modules! It would be great if this can be integrated in the XOOPS imagemanager!

When you want to host your site on another server or domain, you need to edit all your [img] tags due to this!
Not very handy when, for example, a server is crashed and you want to put is back online via your backupfiles and database, cause the url is changed then most of the time.

Another suggestion is to change the <{$xoops_imageurl}> into <{$xoops_subdirectory_url}> because this shortcut is used for all subdirectories and their files and not only for imagefiles...

Just to make it more understandable...

Regards....

hi all,

can't get the imagemanager working in the latest XOOPS 2.0.9.2. I can insert and upload images but when I want to insert an image in a News topic via the imagemanager the [img] tag with the url is not inserted into the topic when i press the left, center or right button....

what happens is that the page is reloaded and goed back to the top of the page with the images...

can anyone test this on his installation?
