I've made some hacks of newbb module. I hope, it may be useful in development of a new version of XOOPS.
Here it is:
X2 NewBB: Delete message without replies
X2 NewBB: QuickReply Form
X2 NewBB: Auto-open page with only message id
X2 NewBB: Last message link in a forum page and in a last messages block
X2 NewBB: View mode (thread or flat) get from user details
X2 NewBB: Sort mode get from User detail
X2 NewBB: Hide private forums in forum Index
X2 NewBB: &sort=0 after edit or post message FIX

Autologin for XOOPS 2.0.x

X2 Core: [ code] tag's output correction

I can't get the template editor to work - there is a "view" button, but no "submit" button anywhere. The template editor looks broken, there is a / at the top of the page and everything looks bigger than it's supposed to.
I don't know where to fix it, so I'm hoping there is somewhere I can edit one single file manually.

What html or php file can I add this to?

Problem 1) / at the top fo the page

Edit the following file
modules\system\admin\tplsets\main.php

Delete the / before

Problem 2) no "submit" button

To change the templates you have to "clone" them first! After that you can edit the cloned templates. Don't forget to select them in the preferences of your site.

From this moment I stop the activity on creation of new hacks.
Because I need to reorganize all created updatings and to send them as diffs to developers.

If all this will go successfully I shall not place hacks here on forums more. All corrections will occur in new versions of Xoops. This way is more constructive.

PS. If only time has sufficed.

so how many, if not all, of these hacks have made it into the 2.0.5 releases?

probably none, since there was no module work done in 2.0.5... But since newBB is currently under development, these probably will be added
