I too have hacked this to show the fields I want to show. That's easy when the users table is already there. The RANKS table is not in this module yet, so you'd have to pull in the rank field for each user from the users table, than access the ranks table to get the associated description (and of course the image), then throw all that into a sortable array and.. pant pant..

Then first XOOPS dev team update to this memberslist module comes along and there you sit with your beautiful hacked version you can't bear to part with...

Hey Mikki, what do you say we join the Dev team instead?

While you're in there... how about linking in the RANKS database so we can sort users by ranking. In my case I'm using ranking for Department (turning off the posting counters.)

Wouldn't it be nice to select which of the user profile details to show in the Members list (and which to supress?) Perhaps INTERESTS is something worthwhile showing on one site, on another it's location and contact info. Let the Admin decide!

MEN? lol
Well I can't test this in xoops.org because you don't have the Top Downloads block visible to mere registered users. I give that task to the higher powers ;)

I don't believe this is theme-dependent.

This is program mydownloads/singlefile.php. When you click on the link in the TOP DOWOLOADS block, the display for the selected download omits the TITLE.

The others show the title correctly. (viewcat.php)

I'm just getting used to this caching system. HERE'S the DEAL!

I went to html/modules/polls/cache and found an unupdated pollsblock.inc.php! So I simply changed that file to chmod 666!

Then I went to edit the poll and changed some wording and hit UPDATE! The cache file changed and lo and behold.. the POLL BLOCK APPEARED!

(Note: Going to Admin Menu and updating the Polls MODULE did nothing. But editing the BLOCK updated the cache.)

CASE CLOSED!

I've done this twice on two sites now, you'd think I'd learn. I take the standard install, add in a NEW POLL, then delete the original poll. I should have simply updated the existing poll but nooooo. So then all I get on the home page is the title of the poll block.

I've tried to go into modules and hit UPDATE on the Poll module, and double checked the BLOCKS to be sure it's set to Visible To ALL.

I've tried moving it from side to side (ok this was a long shot but HEY!) and it just doesn't show the content.

So then I tried deleting the poll to where there are NONE and readding it. (It added it as pollid=3.) It's still a no-show as a block. If I click on POLLS in the main menu (go to it directly as a module,) it's there!

Seems to me that the Poll BLOCK expects pollid=1 or it takes its ball and goes home. Problem is, I deleted pollid=1 and now I'm hosed!
