this thread is really old and this discussion has been way surpassed by many more threads about this subject.. if you search you'll find ways of actually turning http refer check off in XOOPS 2 with simply editing 1 - 2 lines of code.

Traffic and Content wise my site is lacking. However, we have only released our site 3 weeks ago and have used 200mb of space. I'm sure that number will be twice as large by the end of year.
