fixed !!!

the `xoops_groups_users_link` table got emptied strangely.

I recovered the rows from an old backup for this single table and everything is back to normal.

no data loss (as far as I can tell)

I tried using the /mem/recovery.php file and when I logon as an admin, it says ....

"The selected user has been deactivated or has not been activated yet.
Please contact the administrator for details."

actually, it appears that ALL users are disabled because nobody can login. so I doubt it has been disable for all of them, there must be some kind of global settings.

I went through all the xoops_options, xoops_groups, xoops_user, xoops_groups_permissions, xoops_groups_users, etc.

i can not find what is wrong.

anyone can help please?

that would be a last resort solution.
in the mean time, I wish someone could help me understand what is wrong. there must be a little thing in the database that can be changed so everything work again.

I thought someone here would have an idea...

please

Hi there.

I am totally new to xoops, I am in front of a 2+ years old installation.

the /mem/admin.php file has this line in it ...

// $Id: admin.php,v 1.11.6.7 2005/07/26 02:54:11 phppp Exp $

that gives you an idea of the version, I dont know the exact release number.

changelog says ... 2005/10/30: Version 2.2.3 Final

the owner of the site probably did something by mistake (she does not even know ...) but we can't login anymore. well, we can, but as soon as we're in, it says the page is restricted area and the user is redirected to the main page. no matter what page behind the login we're trying to access, users, even the admin, don't have access to any pages anymore.

anybody could help me, please with this issue ?
