Yeah, I found a thing called short URLs, but it's over two years old. I'm thinking that maybe the mod_rewrite is the way to go unless someone else says differently.

I have one question about my new XOOPS installation.
How can I change the directory that modules are installed/loaded into?
For example, now modules are loaded into:
www.mydomain.com/module/nameofmodule/article.php?32u89f
how can I change this to just
www.mydomain.com/article.php?32u89f ?
