no xoops in softaculous installer

i used to install xoops under cms category using softaculous installer. I could not find xoops in the list, What should i do . Tq

Hi, My wish list

1. webmaster (Core dev, module dev, theme dev/designer, etc)
2. Site Admin
3. Registered User
4. Anonymous

- Default to 4 groups.
- Selected 'Preference' for site admin use, not everything in preference
- Image manager (should change to file Manager, as to upload files for attachment[.doc/.pdf etc]
- 2.Site Admin can use File Manager (Image Manager)
- File Manager (should be Xoops File Manager) selected folder for Site Admin use
- Block to include iframe function/icon in any editor (FCKeditor my fav).

Totally agree with Mamba, for the next level will be good if to include the header & footer as well, ie header; uploading header banner or flash header.

which xoops version u are using,

if 2.4.x try clear the following;
1. -->xoops_data-->caches-->smarty_cache/

2. 1. -->xoops_data-->caches-->smarty_compile/

if 2.5.x
login-->admin menu-->systems-->maintenance -Clean cache folder & Empty the sessions table

A very usefull info, maybe moderator can make this sticky.

Just to clarify, we can sell/take donation/give free the xoops core, if we choose to sell, how much can we sell/charge, any price structure, any price guide.

Now let say i sell my module and give options to the user

1. pay a certain amount and use but are not allowed to access the source code but at the same time give an option to buy the source code

2. buy the source code including the documentation related to it.

Option 1. if the user have an intention to buy the source code later but with limited budget at the time of purchase.

Need your opinion on this.

@ mariane, this way i think we have to change every themes that we want to include in our themes selection.
Thanks it is what i'm looking for.

@ ghia as always you are very helpfull & thanks. Will try to change in that php file first so no changes required in the theme. If not sucessful will use mariane's way.

For every custom block that's created & displayed in a page, to edit the block we need to go through Admin Menu --> System --> Blocks --> custom block --> the custom block--> edit

If we have a shortcut such as a link/button to go directly to blocks edit form it would be a plus.

At the moment i have to add a link(the one in the previous post) plus the block id manually for every custom block for a shortcut.

Hope that's clear.

Hi all,

I would like to add a link/button that work as a shortcut from homepage for the custom block. The shortcut edit button will only appear when we log in.

I have add the code in the system_block_dummy.html with

<a href="modules/system/admin.php?fct=blocksadmin&op=edit&bid=<{$block.id}>"><img src="uploads/edit.gif" border='0'></a>

but i could't find the php file with function related to the template.

Or a better solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I have several issues,
the server info are as follows

Server API apache2handler : Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS)
PHP version : 5.3.1
MySQL extension: 5.1.41
Session extension : Success
PCRE extension : Success
file_uploads : ON

Character encoding extension: MBString
Character set conversion extension: Iconv
XML parsing extension: XML
Zlib Compression extension: Zlib
Image functions extension: GD bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
Image meta data (exif) extension: Exif

xoops v: 2.4.4

1. The above info is on page 3/14. When i click next on the pg 4 it will display internet explorer cannot display webpage.

- i make changes on the dir & database name & pwd in the mainfile.php and works just fine, but there are few other problem below:

2. For the block, i can't put more then 4-5 lines of text
3. For content module v 1.0, also same, i can't put more text, it will take time to move on & will not save.

4. Also in the general settings eventhough no chnges

i have add the following in the .htaccess
php_value upload_max_filesize 20M
php_value max_execution_time 200

same thing happend, i'm lost & stuck.

I can paste long text in db using phpmyadmin.
