Gecko,

Could you tell me how you implemented the TinyMCE editor sitewide?

I installed Mastop Publish & really like the TinyMCE editor.

I read & followed the instructions in the extras folder but it isn't defaulting to the TinyMCE editor sitewide.

I did download the xoopseditor 1.01

I tried going to the module developer's sitehttp://www.mastop.com.br/ but cannot understand Spanish.

I am new to XOOPS & php. I really like it so far but have found the editor to be my biggest challenge so far.

I started out with the Content module but had a problem that I couldn't upload images using it. So I tried the Mastop Publish & it works great with the built in Image Manager. I just don't seem to be able to get the settings right to use TinyMCE site wide.

Any help in this area would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Yaani-Mai

Content Module 1RC1 - Unable to Upload Images

XOOPS Version:
XOOPS 2.0.16

XOOPS Template Set:
default

PHP Version:
4.3.11

MySQL Version:
4.1.20

Server Software:
Apache

User's Browser:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

I installed the Content module - version 1RC1.

I can create pages using the Content module just fine.

It uses fckeditor which works great.

I am unable to upload images. It says I have uploaded an image but it is not there. I think it may be a problem with the way the path is defined in the config.php files.

I started out with them like this

$Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = '/Uploads/' ;

then tried this

$Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = '/modules/content/Uploads/' ;

Can someone please tell me directory the fckeditor is uploading images to & how I can access them from the editor in the Content module?

I think I have the uploader enabled, I have this comment in the config.phph files

$Config['Enabled'] = true ;

I am not very proficient in php or Xoops, this is all new to me & I hvae spent quite some time trying to figure out this image problem without any luck.

Thanks,
Yaani-Mai

Well,

I figured out the problem & fixed it.

I went into phpMyAdmin & looked at the xoops_block_Module_link table.

The default value for module_id is 0. Several of the module_id values had been reset to "-1" (I think it might have been caused by a bug when I was testing different settings). I changed the module_id to "0" for all the modules & they now all the blocks show up in System Admin>Blocks for all the pages.

Content Module .5 - Blocks Administration Problem

I have the News & SmartPartner modules installed (they work great).

Then I installed Content Module .5

Everything seemed to work fine after I figured out how to configure everything & set Main Menu & DHTML Menu to not be visible & Site Menu to be visible.

Then I encountered a problem.

When I am in System Admin > Blocks everything looks fine for the Top Page. When I select "Show blocks visible in" any of the other pages, all the other pages only display the System module blocks, the Content & News blocks are no longer displayed.

I do have "Visible" set to all so it should display all the blocks whether set to visible or not.

I'm thinking this is a bug in the Content .5 module.

The Content & News modules are still there & they do show up on the site but they no longer have blocks visible in the Blocks Administration & I can't assign the Site Menu to be visible on those pages because they don't show up in Blocks Administration. The News & Content pages do display the Search & User Menu Blocks on the site but they don't show up in the page's Blocks Administration any more.

Does anyone know how I can get the Content & News Blocks to show up again in the Blocks Administration for all the pages?

P.S. I do have the settings correct for Webmasters in Groups. Webmasters has System Admin, Module Admin, System Access & Module Access rights.

I'm thinking something needs to be reset in the tables but I don't know what.

Thanks,
Yaani-Mai

Matt,

Can you add/edit the html page title i.e. "<title>Page Title </title>" using the iContent module?

Thanks,

Can someone tell me which module would be best to create static content pages?

I have been looking at Cjay Content 3 WYSISYG IE 5.5+ & also Content.

I have read so many comments I now have features of the two confused.

Can you tell me if the Cjay module now works with Firefox?

I thought I read somewhere that one of them wouldn't allow the page you create to be listed in the main menu, only a sub menu of the main menu? Does someone know if this is true? If so do you know which one it is?

Can anyone tell me which module they prefer?

Thanks,
Yaani-Mai

I am a new XOOPS user.

I am having trouble finding the XOOPS Partners module in the Module Repository. Was it replaced with SmartPartner?

Thanks,

Well, I installed XOOPS with no problems & installed a few different themes & they worked fine. I installed the News module with no problems.

The problem is I was trying to figure out the formatting & was experimenting with the blocks & groups. I think I was in the groups & must have checked some wrong check boxes & lost all the boxes on the Home page!

There is no login anymore so I don't know how to get to the admin to fix the settings in the Groups that I messed up.

Can I go into the site via the control panel & change something in the tables somewhere to make the login box show up?

Here is the Home page of the XOOPS I installed www.pitstopkartshop.com/cms

Thanks,
Yaani-Mai
