Ok, I have done all what I asked on my own. My new problem is trying to get my little pull down menu to work in my content module. its 2 files ( 1 html and 1 php) when i run it it opens in the same window but without the rest of my site (like a new window but the same one). I want it to display in the window it stared in.

Any ideas?

a link to my pulldown menu:http://www.auspcs.com.au/comets/modules/homepage/content/select.html

I want this to be in my site, not on its own.

Hi, I am trying to build a website for a football club that I am a sponsor of. I am doing this FREE for them. the website is still under construction. Its here:
http://www.auspcs.com.au/comets
I need some help with a couple of things Im suck on.

I have 3 questions, This may seem odd but I would like to know how to update 1 single table in the database with data from a .csv file.

I would also like to have a page showing this table sorted alphabetically from a drop down menu.

An example of this is here;http://www.auspcs.com.au/comets/modules/content/index.php?id=14

As you can see its a lot of data and the html page is quite large. I wanted to have these statistics in the database and show this page by reading the database. The CSV import is also needed as this data is updated oce per year and there are 000's of names (past players and new players)

So my questions ae:
1. How do I display the data sorted alphabetically in a nice page with a dropdown menu? (same as what I have above)

2. How do I export and import the MySql database table to a CSV file for editing.

3. Is this too big a task, I am trying the phpmyadmin module to see if that imports/export while I wait for an answer

I have a php script that does import a csv file to the database and it works (wasnt written by me) but its old and not tidy or easy and it wont export only import. You can see it working here:
http://www.auspcs.com.au/images/php_csv_importer_2/csv_importer/csv_importer.php
the username etc will be sent via email to anyone that wants to try to help.
Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.

Hi guys, I would like to know how to get my news RSS feed showing the news in my page automatically. I can't get it to do this, it only shows a link to the feed, not the feed itself. I only want 1 news feed. its a rugby league supporters site and I want to show the latest rugby league news. I am using news 1.44 module

an example is here:
http://www.auspcs.com.au/comets
u click on news and it shows the pull down menu with the link, click the link and it shows the link to the news.
I want to :
click on news, a page opens showing the news

any ideas?

Thanks

PS. I have tried and tried and searched. I dont ask questions until I am lost.
