Look like the answer did not come soon enough(if ever).
I had to wipe and reinstalled my web site.Judging from other posts- the dbase get corrupted more often that I would expected.I had a problem where I did not change anything and got lock up from admin. After 2 days fighting with this problem and did not get replay to - I wiped out and reinstalled.
My Gallery2 have separate dir and dbase and called from a block.
My X7 chat have a separate dbase and dir. Called from a block.
My clients imegs dir are server password protected and called from a block.
I do not need the login and registration as each block have separate login. How to disable the login?.
Admin module can be called from a block too.

Problem solved.Found out that XOOPS do not bypass password protection on my hosting server. It did when I try from my IP.My client log into XOOPS and then had to log in again to retrive a file.

If you have a hosting service you can password protect dir.
In xoops:
Create bloc and from block call that dir.
"<a href="yourside.?/directory">Name</a>"
works

Is there any way to password protect a block?
I have a block called customer and inside that block a link to download site.I did password protect that dir , but for some reason XOOPS bypass the login and goes directly to download dir.Never ask for password.
If I type my web address/user it does ask for password.
Need help to solve that problem.
Thanks

You could use a catads module(demo athttp://www.jesphoto.net) where user can create a page and add picture. So far the best I found.
