Hey,

I see a lot of different releases of XOOPS, but which is the one I can use for my new site?

I think it is 2.0.13.2, but I'm not sure. Maybe it's better to take another release ???

Please help me

Thanx

Mark

Hey,

For my new project, I need to insert existing HTML-pages into XOOPS. For this, I still need a good module to put these pages in.

Which module is the best there is to use for HTML-content?

Can you dudes advice me on this please ??

Thanks in advance

you could also install xipb as your forum system, which replaces the boring XOOPS pm system with the tricked out ipb pm system.

Thanx

Hey dudes,

Already thanx for the advice.

I've downloaded the two different hacks for the XOOPS PM-system. I will try them on my site tomorrow.

I will inform here on how thing went.

Hey dudes,

I'm looking for an enhanced module for XOOPS, to replace or modify the current private message system, which is included in XOOPS 3.0.13.2

Comparing the PM-system included in XOOPS, to something like those in vBulletin or phpBB, it's rather small, and with very little options.

Is there something available to enhance this???

All good ideas are very welcome.

oops yes.. it does.. sorry bout that, but better to have asked anyway :)

mainfile.php should be overwritten on install yes, it should contain the info provided by you on the install screens. mainfile.dist.php is the template file for mainfile.php

Small bug in XOOPS, but without problems ....

At the moment, my XOOPS is running, but within a subfolder on my domain. But it should be better to have it running from my httpdocs folder (root). But that doesn't work

make sure you're editing mainfile.php and not mainfile.dist.php (as is what you posted in your 1st post is not the correct file to edit)

It is the correct file I'm editing. On top of the mainfile.php, it says mainfile.dist.php, but it is the correct file.

This info isn't written over during install I pressume
