ok,
followed that thread and updated form.php. to make sure that I did not screw anything else up I started from scratch. clean install of 2.0.15 + updated form.php.
Result: same as before.
I went 1 step further and installed core 2.2.3a Final and used the offered pack's to install. Now the forum module that comes with that pack installs ok. However, I noticed a strange time value in the posted time field which looks like: T2006day 7:37:26. Having also problems to install the oscommerce module (it fails with incorrect datetime at time of install) I wonder if this is related to the problem I see with 307 under 2.0.15 - but maybe it's totally unrelated.

Another observation: the core module for 2.2.3a did not install under MySQL 5.0.27. My prod system is 5.0.16 and that seems to be ok.

Hans

The environment:
XOOPS Version: 2.0.15
Module Name/Version: Xoopsshop osCommerce 0.2
PHP Version: 5
MySQL Version: 4.0.16
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): IIS
Operating System: Windows Server 2003
Theme you are using: default
Custom template: (Yes/No) No

tried to install the forum module but can't get it to show up in the modules admin page for installation. with debug turned on I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mod_isModuleAction() in C:\Websites\gisch.org\xoops\htdocs\modules\newbb\xoops_version.php on line 59

All errors (2) queries (7) blocks (0) extra (0) timers (3)

followed by:

Warning: include_once(/Frameworks/art/functions.ini.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in file /modules/newbb/xoops_version.php line 57

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/Frameworks/art/functions.ini.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;C:/php5/pear') in file /modules/newbb/xoops_version.php line 57

I am at the end of my knowledge and hope that someone can point me in the right direction. I have no idea what the reference to "C:/php5/pear" in the last warning message is about. My php directory is called php and not php5.

Just to complete this thread:
I finally got one version to work. The "sendmail_from" option in PHP was set incorrect for Windows32 environment. Fixing that got the "mail()" version to work. SMPT authorization does still not work. I will leave it with that and the case is closed for me as I found one working option.
Thanks for everyones help on this....

Hans

downloaded "XOOPS2_mod_X-IPB-Module_14Ha.zip"
trying to install it gives the following error:

Incorrect datetime value: '' for column 'customers_info_date_of_last_logon' at row 1

Unable to install shop. Error(s):

Turned on debug but does not show anymore details. Tried to change the date format on the server - no difference. Is there any specific date format required or is this error message misleading?
I tried to install XOOPS osCommerce ( xosC ) before and got the same error.
I am in Australia and the date format of the IIS server as well as the SQL server is: dd-MMM-yy

Hope someone can help,

rgds,
Hans

Thanks.

I had seen that post before and does not address the problem I am having. All email accounts I tried are "IP based".

Spend another few hours with further testing. Finally re-installed everything from scratch, and set mail to SMTP (SMTPAUTH same result)with the following outcome:

1. sending email to user works as long as they are on the same server (same IP address as web server)

2. registering new user does not send an email to the user who wants to register (same error message as before), no matter where the mail server is - however the administrator (mail server same as web server) does receive the notification that a new user has registered.

I'm at the end of my knowledge and hope somebody can make sense out of this.

Hans

Tried all mail options - same result. did a search before I posted this. there are some other people seming to have problems but none of the posts are of help to me.
I do have other programs running on the same server that do use email for registration, e.g. phpgedview, without any problems of sending/receiving mail. So I guess that nothing is wrong with the general settings.

Hans
