I recently installed two new XOOPS portals with version 2.0.13.2. Same server, same files uploaded. One of them will only show the default template nomatter what I select in the prefs. Gah!

Debug shows no errors
I compared permissions between the two, nothing
I tried completely deleting the database and files and reinstalling
In the xoops_config table of the database, the selected theme shows up fine.
The template sets work properly, just not the themes.

I'm just...mystified. It's probably something simple.

Any advice from the XOOPS wizards out there?

Block above User Registration?

I need to put a notice above the user registration. There doesn't appear to be a way to create a block above the user registration form.

I'm using XOOPS version 2.0.12

Thanks for your help and advice,
sitemouse

Ps. Not long ago we upgraded to XOOPS 2.2.3 and things went horribly wrong, but we're willing to give it another try if there's a way to accomplish the user registration block (or if there's a compelling reason we don't know about).

I was able to fix the problem by dropping and reloading the tables xoops_modules and xoops_config.

Like Glenn's install, only the areas accessed with the following url don't work.

Selected module does not exist

We restored our installation of XOOPS 2.0.12 from backup today, and everything seems to be working except for the core system modules.

From the admin area, when we click on anything under "system", we get the message, "selected module does not exist".

All other module blocks and custom blocks appear, but not the system blocks (menu, user block, etc)

All the system module files seem to be in the proper place on the server, where they were before.

Does anyone have a suggestion? We can't even get to the prefs to turn on php debug, so I don't know what to do next.

Thanks,
Jodi

Nevermind. We just went back to XOOPS 2.0.12. Maybe we will try upgrading when things are slower.

We recently upgraded from XOOPS 2.0.12 to 2.2.3.
PHP Version: 4.3.11
MySQL Version: 4.0.22-standard-log
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache

A couple weird things...

The "Edit Users" checkbox in the Webmaster group will not stay checked. I save it, then go back and it's unchecked again. In the admin area, we can find and mail users, but can't edit them. However, if we go to a user's profile on the site, we can get into it and edit that way.

PHP Debug msg on group admin page:
Notice [PHP]: Use of undefined constant XOOPS_SYSTEM_USER - assumed 'XOOPS_SYSTEM_USER' in file modules/system/admin/users/xoops_version.php line 44

The "PM" button isn't showing up on the user profile pages. (Extended Profiles v0.1 is installed)

PHP Debug msg on user profile page:
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: allow_moderator_html in file modules/newbb/include/search.inc.php line 170
