After doing some testing with a plain .htm page I found that there is a problem with the apache web hosting I am using. If I copy the image locally to my site it works fine, but the image from eSellerate does not display.

This is very much like some of the other problems I have been having with my webpage. It is strange that some of the banner images work fine and others do not. Most of the images in the theme are .gif or .jpg so as this point there doesn't seem to be something I can narrow down without more testing.

I've posted something before about banners not working if the graphic is offsite, but I think I have narrowed down the problem. It seems that the banners I am having problems with contain a .ASP suffix on the links. Here is an example of the banners I am talking about. This is from DarkBlue.com:

<a href="http://store.eSellerate.net/a.asp?c=0_SKU86261010260_AFL4461669690"><img src="http://www.esellerate.net/images/banners/large_a.gif" border=0 alt="Buy info-ultimate-marketing-mega-guides"></a>

This banner will not show up on in a block for some reason. Has anyone else has this problem? It would be nice to be able to actually use the banners I signed up for and a lot of them are ASP.

This is not the only type of banner/graphics I am having issues with, but it seems to be a major part of the problem.

Looking for a static html module

I am looking for a module for static content, but am not sure what to look for. I have tried the content modules including cjar content, but it doesn't work like I want.

I want to have basic html/javascript pages that have their own link on the MAIN MENU from the XOOPS main menu. Cjar content would create it's own submenu.

The reason I want this is I want to be able to add pages to the main menu without them having to be a complete 'module' because the pages are basic.

I have thought about modifying the main menu template, but that would not make for easy maintenance.

Anyone know of a module that is like this?

I had the same problem running 2.0.13. Most all of my custom blocks would not work, but almost all of the affiliate banner I was running would not show up. I did a source view of the page to find out that there was no HTML/PHP code at all in the custom blocks.

After reading this post I decided to try something drastic, so I backed up everything and upgraded from 2.0.13 to 2.2.3a. This still did no solve the problem, but did totally screw up the front page center blocks. I found out that it was easily fixed by going into the blocks admin page and setting which pages they are supposed to be visible.

Last I decided to try the latest update from 2.2.3a to 2.2.4 out of desperation. Although at now the code for the link shows up, the image code is not showing up. After a little testing it seems that XOOPS has problems with images that are external to the site itself. At least from what I can see that is the problem.

Has anyone else used external images in a block and had it work. Sometimes it will work, but most of the time there is nothing but blank.

BUG in mylinks module with massive number of links

This bug probably wouldn't come up with the normal XOOPS site, so I guess I pushed the envelope. I have about 108 categories listed and one of them has about 3000 links in it. When I go to that page the module attempts to display ALL of the pages on the pagenav. That causes the screen to be about 2000+ pixels wide of something of the sort. I looked at the code and I don't think the person who wrote it took into account massive links.

As a quick fix I did something like this:
if( ( $counter % 15 ) == 1 )
$page_nav .= "<br>";

This causes the pagenav to have a <br> every 15 page links, which at least keeps it from making the page really <W I D E>. It's cheesy, but it fixed the problem for now. What really needs to be done is to have the pagenav be able to navigate through a page list gracefully. If anyone has a mod like this or knows of an update to the mylinks module I would be interested to hear about it..

Tried searching for something related to this in the forums, but couldn't find anything...

I am trying to change the mylinks module so that the categories are not displayed in 3 columns because it is too crowded together. I am trying to change it to only 2 columns wide, but no matter what I do the page will not change. I checked that the site cache is disabled (I think it is correct), but nothing changes.. I'm feeling a little stupid. Any help would be appreciated...
